Homemade Alfredo Sauce Recipe

This 15 minute easy alfredo sauce pasta is so easy you can make it for a weekday lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of pasta
  • ½ cup butter
  • 8 ounces heavy cream or half & half
  • 1.5 cup shredded parmesan
  • ½ cup cup mozzarella
  • ½ teaspoons garlic paste or minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional Garnish- Fresh Parsley or Parmesan

Instructions

  • Start by cooking the pasta according to the box directions, then set aside to drain.
  • In a skillet whisk the butter and cream together. About 3 minutes on medium-low heat.
  • Stir in the parmesan and mozzarella. It will look gloopy but keep stirring making sure not to over-heat to prevent curdling.
  • Season with garlic paste, nutmeg, salt and pepper and simmer for a few minutes.
  • Stir in noodles, garnish with parmesan and herbs and serve warm.
