This 10 minute dirty chai latte recipe tastes just like one at the coffee shop for a fraction of the cost!
Cook Time 10 minutes
Servings 1 latte

Ingredients

  • 1 shot Espresso or ¼ cup Strong Brewed Coffee
  • 6 oz Boiling Water
  • 2 Chai Spice Tea Bags
  • 2-3 tsp Sweetener of Choice stevia, sugar, honey, maple syrup
  • Milk or Half & Half warmed

Instructions

  • teep 2 chai tea bags in 6 ounces of boiling water. Approx. 2-3 minutes.
  • Brew espresso into a large coffee cup.
  • When the tea has steeped to make a concentrated tea, mix the espresso, tea and sweetener together in your coffee cup.
  • Froth the milk or half and half to make a soft foam and top drink , giving it a gentle swirl. Frothing isn’t necessary, milk can be poured directly into cup. Enjoy warm or iced.

Notes

May use strong brewed coffee in place of espresso
-May use decaf coffee/espresso
-May use any milk or cream of choice such as soy milk, nut milk, oat milk, etc.
-Recipe may be iced as well. Simply dissolve sugar or sweetener in the tea and espresso then cool down and pour over ice. Finish with milk and enjoy.
- Can be doubled or tripled and prepped ahead of time. Keep in fridge for up to 4 days, in a glass jar or pitcher.
- Milk or cream froths best when warm and a pinch of cinnamon can be added for extra flavor.
- You can use a hand held frother, shake in a mason jar, use a whisk, electric beaters, blender or French press to froth milk without a fancy milk frother.
