Homemade Alfredo Sauce Recipe
This 15 minute easy alfredo sauce pasta is so easy you can make it for a weekday lunch or dinner.
Servings 4 people
- 1 box of pasta
- ½ cup butter
- 8 ounces heavy cream or half & half
- 1.5 cup shredded parmesan
- 1/2 cup cup mozzarella
- 1/2 teaspoons garlic paste or minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- salt & pepper to taste
- Optional Garnish- Fresh Parsley or Parmesan
Start by cooking the pasta according to the box directions, then set aside to drain.
In a skillet whisk the butter and cream together. About 3 minutes on medium-low heat.
Stir in the parmesan and mozzarella. It will look gloopy but keep stirring making sure not to over-heat to prevent curdling.
Season with garlic paste, nutmeg, salt and pepper and simmer for a few minutes.
Stir in noodles, garnish with parmesan and herbs and serve warm.
