Teriyaki Beef with Yum Yum Sauce

A tastier twist to your ordinary hibachi or teppanyaki recipes. Also a hint on how to make beef extra tender

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thin sliced sirloin steak pieces
  • 1 bottle teriyaki marinade
  • ¼ cup sliced green onion
  • 2 cups fresh mixed vegetables such as mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, carrots, zucchini
  • 1 cup mayo
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar may sub white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional Garnish: sesame seeds green onion

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the beef, vegetables and marinade and let marinate for 25 minutes in fridge.
  2. Meanwhile, whisk together the mayo, garlic powder, tomato paste, honey and rice wine vinegar. Once combined, refrigerate until just before serving.
  3. Once the marinating is complete, heat a large skillet, griddle or cook top. Cook marinated beef and vegetables for about 8-10 minutes, giving them a stir occasionally. (discard any remaining marinade not cooked to keep from cross contaminating.)
  4. Garnish if desired and serve hot with yum yum sauce and rice.
