Teriyaki Beef with Yum Yum Sauce

A tastier twist to your ordinary hibachi or teppanyaki recipes. Also a hint on how to make beef extra tender

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thin sliced sirloin steak pieces
  • 1 bottle teriyaki marinade
  • ¼ cup sliced green onion
  • 2 cups fresh mixed vegetables such as mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, carrots, zucchini
  • 1 cup mayo
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar may sub white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional Garnish: sesame seeds green onion

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the beef, vegetables and marinade and let marinate for 25 minutes in fridge.
  • Meanwhile, whisk together the mayo, garlic powder, tomato paste, honey and rice wine vinegar. Once combined, refrigerate until just before serving.
  • Once the marinating is complete, heat a large skillet, griddle or cook top. Cook marinated beef and vegetables for about 8-10 minutes, giving them a stir occasionally. (discard any remaining marinade not cooked to keep from cross contaminating.)
  • Garnish if desired and serve hot with yum yum sauce and rice.
