German Flourless Chocolate Bars

Made with wholesome ingredients in less than half an hour. You'll want to make these again!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Oats
  • cup Pecans toasted and chopped
  • cup Toasted coconut flakes
  • 4 Bananas ripe ones
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla extract
  • cup Coconut sugar
  • ¾ cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 and ½ tsp Baking powder
  • 3 Eggs
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ cup maple syrup

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mash together bananas and coconut sugar into a paste.
  • Add in eggs and vanilla, whisk till slightly pale. Mix in maple syrup.
  • In a food processor, grind together oats, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder work till the oats are very small pieces.
  • Add the dry ingredients into the bowl with banana mixture, stir to evenly combine.
  • Mix in most of the coconut flakes and chopped pecans.
  • Line a a 9’x13’pan lined with parchment paper, then lightly spray. Pour the batter into the pan, spread evenly. Top the batter with the rest of the coconut flakes and pecans.
  • Bake for 12 minutes at 350F, till a cake tester comes out clean.

Notes

Use extra ripe bananas for a sweeter bar.  You can also top it with some powdered sugar for a sweeter experience
