I’m Charisse Yu, recipe and video creator specializing in stop-motion content with an emphasis on simple meals that make your life easier. I also love to share lifestyle content with an emphasis on home, parenting and self care. Formerly known as the mom behind Easy Toddler Meals, my meals have evolved into family meals.
I was born on the east coast, but moved around quite a bit growing up. I grew up surrounded by a family of cooks who made everything through taste. As a former Emmy nominated television journalist, I wanted to change that and pass down my recipes in writing. My goal is to inspire you with recipes that are easy, creative, healthy, and budget conscious.

Fun Facts About Charisse
- I’m a true foodie. I love eating out at restaurants the most! It’s probably because I love when other people cook for me. My love for food evolved to cooking at home since it’s not always feasible to eat out all the time with little ones.
- I love to travel and have been to more than two dozen countries.
- If I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll find me in a hot yoga studio or shopping!
My work has been featured on KCBS, Today, Yummly, Adobe, The Kitchn and more. Over the years, I have cultivated a community reaching nearly 400,000 people across the globe interested in creating fun and nutritious meals for friends and family.
I hope you enjoy my fun and witty stop motion style and “how to” videos to show you how easy making a meal can be.
