This dish is inspired by my Filipino roots.
It's such an easy recipe and so delicious. I always strive to instill culture in our family. One way I do it is through food.
You can do without all the bell pepper varieties if you wish.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb top sirloin beef
- ¼ of a red bell pepper (cut in strips)
- ¼ of a orange red bell pepper (cut in strips)
- ¼ of a yellow red bell pepper (cut in strips)
- ¼ of a red onion (cut in rings)
- ¼ cup tamari or low sodium soy sauce
- ½ tsp garlic
- 1 tsp corn starch
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- juice of ¼ of a lemon
- 2 tbs olive oil
1. Cut sirloin beef to thin slices
2. Mix beef, soy sauce, garlic, cornstarch, pepper, and lemon juice in a bowl
3. Marinate for at least 30 minutes
4. In a pan, heat 1 tbs olive oil and saute onions and bell peppers. Set aside.
5. In the same pan, heat another 1 tbs olive oil and brown beef on medium high, until cooked
6. Top with veggies and serve over rice
