Recipe tasting can either mean disaster in the kitchen or an amazing surprise! My toddler son tripped and fell and I used a bag of peas for the bruise. I had to use it because I didn't want to refreeze it again. I really wanted to make chocolate chip cookies. This is how this recipe emerged.
It has no added sugar. You can switch to cacao nibs if you're concerned about the sugar. But in my humble opinion you can't have a chocolate chip cookie without chocolate chips.
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup melted butter
- ¼ cup green peas
- 1 egg
- 2 ¼ cup flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 375f
2. In a blender blend peas, bananas, and egg. Set a aside.
3. In a bowl mix add flour and mix peas mixture
4. Add melted butter, baking soda, vanilla and chocolate chips and stir
5. Use an ice cream scooper and place on an ungreased cookie sheet for about 8-10 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
